A viral YouTube video has given people a look inside a popular seaside town's worst-rated hotel with "stained" walls and "grotty" bathrooms.
The Grand Hotel, in Llandudno, has been dubbed "not so grand anymore", by Youtuber Walk With Me Tim, who stayed the night there earlier this month. The Grand is currently the town's worst rated hotel, sitting at 53rd place on TripAdvisor.
The historic hotel opened its doors in 1902 and is now owned by Britannia, which has recently been named the UK's worst hotel chain for the ninth consecutive year by Which? and owns Liverpool's Adelphi Hotel. Holidaymakers have likened The Grand to Fawlty Towers, with the majority of users giving it a one-star rating.

The raft of "terrible" reviews prompted Walk With Me Tim, who has reviewed dozens of seaside resorts online, to pay the hotel a visit to see if it "is as bad as some people say". In the 23-minute video, Tim explored the hotel from top to bottom and came across "stained and dirty" walls, bad odours, and "pretty grim" dirty windows that obscure the stunning coastal views.
He started his tour by checking into a very small single room, which costs £72 for a one-night stay, and had a "very interesting odour". The Youtuber found damp on the walls and what appeared to be rust stains on the curtains.
The windows looked not to have been cleaned in a "long while", a used spare cushion was found in the wardrobe, and Tim described the bathroom as "grotty". He then made his way up the hotel to the fifth floor via a "disgusting" carpeted lift.
As he navigated the "maze-like" hallways and the "creaky" floors, he found further damp stains on the walls, unsightly exposed water pipes, abandoned laundry trolleys, fly traps and crumbling plaster on the walls. As Tim made his way down the stairs, he pointed out the incredible scenery surrounding the hotel.
The Youtuber said: "There's not many hotels with this kind of view, if you can see it that is because the windows are pretty grim." Despite spotting a number of areas for improvement, Tim was impressed by some areas, such as the restaurant room and the reception area, that hint at the hotel's former glory.
In a review at the end of his video, Tim said: "This hotel is in an amazing location. Walking around the hotel, I agree with the comments on Tripadvisor that it feels really dirty and grimy.
"Let's start with my room, this is a single room - it's not one of the premier rooms, which I'm sure are very nice and overlook the sea - and it cost £72 for the night. Bearing in mind this is August, that's not bad.
"What was bad were the stains all over the wall. The bed was actually comfortable but the curtains had rust on them, the bathroom was a little bit grotty in places. The room also has a lot of pipework running through it and I could constantly hear water."
He added: "This hotel, you can tell, was really nice back in the day. I don't get why they don't clean the windows, it's pretty disgusting to say the least. And what was with all the laundry carts in the hallways? They could've at least put them away.
"I don't like how the bed is up against a wall that has stains all over it. Hotels normally smell a lot fresher than this. The pillow that's been used and put back and not been cleaned is gross - I could really smell someone else on it. The restaurant looked ok. The quiet room was rather interesting and I did like the fact you could actually sit on the balcony even though that felt rather dirty as well."
