Crosby has welcomed a brand new restaurant, from the team behind much-loved local venues The Tree House and So Salsa.
Rock Salt has opened in the former Oriental Delight takeaway, on Coronation Road.
Co-owner Andy Peters told the ECHO that while Rock Salt will uphold the same standards as its sister restaurants, it has a more ‘laid back vibe and is not as formal’ as the other venues.

Speaking to the ECHO , he said: "It’s different to the other venues because even if you wanted to pop in for a bottle of wine and a cheese board, or a few cocktails with your friends, you can do that in Rock Salt."
Unlike The Tree House and So Salsa, Rock Salt will operate primarily as a breakfast and brunch spot in the day and then it will transition into a relaxed restaurant and bar in the evening.

Andy said: "When I noticed that the old Chinese takeaway three doors down from Tree House was for sale, we booked a viewing just out of curiosity and met the owner.
"Then we started thinking about if it could possibly be another restaurant - we ended up buying the property in 2018 and started work on it in September.

"We’re going for a modern look with long benches made designed with comfort in mind so people can sit and relax over breakfast or sit on the Chesterfield couches by the fire and have a bottle of wine on a Friday night with friends and family."
The restaurant opened just four weeks ago, but already the reviews are in and many customers are giving Rock Salt glowing five star reviews.
Calling the restaurant an ‘absolute gem’, one reviewer said: "Brunch heaven, I've been here a couple of times now as the lure of a great brunch is just too appealing.

"I've tried a few dishes already and I have loved the Avocado and sundried tomato special and the homemade Spinach, Chorizo and Manchego Quiche.
"I've been for a drink in the evening too and the cocktails are well worth a try. They have a great deal for cocktails on Wednesdays but I've also tried the Love Lane lager and pale ale - both were fabulous.
"I definitely recommend Rock Salt - its an absolute gem."
Another five star review reads: "I had the open salmon sandwich on brown bread which was delicious!
"The staff are lovely and friendly, the place is bright but cosy and I can’t wait for the rest of the menu to be available so I can work my way through it. Another great addition to Crosby!"
