Prestwick Swimming Pool has reopened following a major makeover.
Work began to expand the gym and refurbish the changing rooms and toilets in April, which saw the facility closed for a number of months.
And now, following a £300k investment by South Ayrshire Council, the works have been completed and welcoming the public once again.
The impressive expansion has seen the gym double in size, with state-of-the-art equipment installed.
The space has been designed, alongside the help from experts at Life Fitness, to suit gym members of all abilities and fitness levels.
A range of on demand classes will also be available in the new gym.
Other improvements include the installation of new cubicles and lockers in the changing rooms and new toilet facilities, including an additional accessible toilet.
Access control has been implemented, allowing gym members to swipe in with their membership card, or through the SAC Leisure App.
New decoration has also been added in the foyer area to update the look of the facility.
Leader of South Ayrshire Council, councillor Martin Dowey, councillor Martin Kilbride, councillor Hugh Hunter and councillor Cameron Ramsay visited earlier in the month to take a look at the fantastic improvements.
Councillor Brian Connolly, South Ayrshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Sport and Leisure, said: “I’m delighted to see that works are now finished at Prestwick Swimming Pool.
“The facility is a firm favourite amongst locals and I’m sure that members will be excited to return to their regular club and see these great changes for themselves.
“It’s important to encourage people of all ages in South Ayrshire to stay fit and healthy, and I’m sure the updated gym will attract new members as well as returning ones.”
