The Travellers Rest has reopened its doors following renovation work. A beautiful new garden, elegantly-styled interiors and a new stylish private dining area have all been added to the historic Caerphilly pub, which had its first licence granted in 1864.
The new-look Travellers Rest, which has been under renovation for eight weeks, will also introduce an all-new food offering. In addition to lunch and dinner, the Village Inn's pub will also offer a brunch menu which boasts a selection of popular dishes from 9am on Saturdays and Sundays.
A new dinner menu will also offer freshly cooked dishes that include chargrilled skewers, stone baked pizzas, steaks and roasts. Guests will also be able to sample the extensive selection of wines, gins, craft beers and cocktails.

The changes that are currently underway are all centred around creating an original country pub with a real difference.”
She added: “The Travellers Rest will provide both our regulars and first-time guests with an exciting location to enjoy high-quality dining in beautiful surroundings. Both myself and the whole team are incredibly excited to open the doors and we hope our guests love the transformation.”
