Even though it's absolutely disgusting, many people find horrific videos of spots and cysts being popped and squeezed weirdly addictive.
But four people who see far more than their fair share of gross body issues are the team of dermatologists who work at the Skin Surgery.
While working in the clinic might be some people's worst nightmares, the staff there absolutely love it.
Speaking on a new Channel 5 documentary People Like Pus: Zit ER, Nurse Nduta said: "I like the look of cysts, I like the look of everything that comes out."
One of their clients, Joanne, went to the clinic for some help with two cysts that she's had on her head for 20 years.
She did have a third lump, but she decided to deal with it herself with a Stanley knife.
She said: "It was growing bigger and bigger so I kind of got desperate. Put it this way, I won't be eating bread pudding again."
Determined to get the other two sorted properly, she went to speak to Dr Dev about what could be done.
After cutting her hair, he makes a cut along the length of the cyst. He soon discovers there is actually multiple cysts in her head but they were all connected making them harder to get out.
But the procedure is a success and he removes all of the cysts.
Joanne said: "I'm so glad I haven't got them any more. I can have my hair as I want and I don't have to worry about people seeing a bald lump sticking out the side of my head."
Later, client Danny went to see Consultant dermatologist Dr Natalia at the clinic to try and get rid of a number of cysts on his back.
He suffers from cystic acne and has struggled with the growths since he was a teenager, admitted to occasionally scratching them with a pasta drainer then they get too much.
He said: "I can't resist sometimes. I sit there and I'm a bit bored so I put my hand over, feel round and if I feel its a bit... I give it a nudge."
Danny explains the impact the cysts have had on his life.
"I always feel like I'm being judged on my skin. It does get to me quite a lot. I don't even think I remember how it felt to be confident in how I look.
Dr Natalia decides that while some will dry up on their own it's better to try and deal with some of the bigger ones.
She injects anesthetic before making a cut across the top and squeezing out the contents.
She explains that she have to go slowly so she can see what she's dealing with, rather than just cutting straight in.
Despite her efforts to remove it without rupturing it, the cyst explodes and she had to duck out of the way as the contents fly up towards her face.
She jokes: "This is why I should have worn a mask today.
"It does have an odour. I can't really describe what it sells like though, like old fondue. No? Is that kind of disgusting? Yeah.
"Everyone understands food, so to describe something as being 'cottage cheesy'. Cheese is a good one. Everything looks like cheese."
After she's removed all of the cysts she sends them all off to the lab to check there is nothing worrying about.
Danny said: "Quite literally I feel like weight has been lifted off my shoulder. I feel elated and a lot better than before I walked in.
"It may have gone with a bang but I'm glad it's gone.
Another client, Amanda, 62, spoke to Dr Dev about lipoma on her stomach which she has had for about ten years. It's not harmful, but she was unhappy with the way it looked.
She said: "I would say it's as big as a tennis ball now. I'm disguising it with baggy clothes
"It's disgusting when you look at it. It makes you feel depressed, you feel like a freak.
Dr Dev quickly gets to work numbing the area, before using tools to loosen it up and squeezing it out.
Amanda wasn't at all bothered and laughed the whole way through the procedue.
"The more I squeezed it just kept coming, and coming, and coming.
"That was an epic procedure. The fat, as we squeezed it we couldn't pick it up fast enough."
