Inside Paige Turley and Finley Tapp's three-year relationship from winning Love Island to lockdown in Scotland

Paige Turley and Finley Tapp met on the first ever series of Winter Love Island in South Africa in 2020 and took home the crown after capturing the hearts of viewers.

The couple had seemingly been going from strength to strength following their time in the Cape Town villa, even moving into their own lavish flat in Manchester shortly after winning the show. Despite seeming stronger than ever three years after winning the reality show, the couple have reportedly parted ways.

An insider told The Sun: “Paige and Finn had a really good run, but they are still super young and decided it wasn’t forever in the end.

“Paige is spending some time back in Scotland while she works out what she wants to do next."

Let's take a look into their three-year relationship as they have split for good..

Love Island

Paige and Finn met on the 2020 series of Love Island and coupled up on the sixth day of the ITV reality show, before being crowned winners six weeks later. The West Lothian star made reference to her relationship with former flame Lewis Capaldi during her introduction to the show, before swiftly moving on to Finn.

Speaking about their time in the villa, Finn told the Daily Record last year: "It's felt like it's flown by, but also been a lifetime if that makes any sense. Looking back on it, it's been three years ago, but it also just feels like it was yesterday."

He continued: "It's been amazing since then, we're very fortunate now to be in a position where we can meet amazing people with different events and stuff like that. So we're very, very fortunate for having the opportunity."

Covid in Scotland

Not long after they left the Love Island villa, the world shut down with the global pandemic and the new couple decided to quarantine together in Scotland. Finn ignored government guidelines at the time to drive the six hours from Milton Keynes to West Lothian to isolate with the Scots beauty in her hometown, Bathgate.

Paige said on Instagram at the time: "The reason I have done a disappearing act the last couple of days... I was catching up with this stranger. P.S He drove six hours to Scotland to isolate with me."

Finn explained the situation on his new YouTube channel, telling fans: "So I made the six-hour drive up to Scotland. It was almost a given that something like this isolation period was going to happen.

"So I made the decision to drive up to Scotland so that if it happened, I could be isolating with Paige. So I wanted to isolate with Paige - obviously, we are quite used to it being isolated in the villa in South Africa at the start of the year, though obviously I don't have the pool or the views here.

"It's great to be with Paige. Obviously we're so used to it so it would be quite difficult to be away from each other for so long. And I think she likes that I'm here. I hope that she's happy."

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror in 2020, Finn said: "Spending 24/7 with each other is all we've ever known. I think the whole isolation and lockdown was something that we were used to. We're used to waking up together, going to sleep together, eating together."

Marriage talk

During their relationship, the couple didn't shy away from sharing their plans for the future as Finn opened up about wanting to marry Paige.

"Marriage is definitely something we want to do and I guess it's just down to me now to pull my finger out," Finn revealed. "I think it takes a lot of planning and I'm not the most organised person so it will take me quite a while to think about how I'm going to do this."

Speaking to new! Magazine, Finn said: "There's no question in my mind that Paige will be my wife one day. I'm going to wear a kilt to respect my in-laws and to explore the Scottish culture."

Paige added: "I keep saying to Finley that if he wears a kilt a lot of my family will be emotional because he's embracing a tradition. It's going to be an emotional day as it is, but I think that will be a really nice touch."

Previous split rumours

Paige and Finn were never ones to document every moment of their relationship on Instagram, and it has led to split rumours before. Fans noticed the couple had been posting each other less than usual on social media, and speculated they had parted ways.

After fans speculated a split, Paige hit back saying: “I'm not being funny, if I get one more message going 'Where's Finn? Where's Finn?'“

She added: “I hope he's still in the cage in the living room where I left him. Or at least he f****** should be.“

Current split

Eagled-eyed fans have noticed that Paige and Finn have rarely posted about each other in the last few months, adding to break-up speculation. Paige last shared a snap with Finn in January to promote the latest season of Love Island, and her last post beforehand was a paid advertisement for the couple.

The former footballer is currently travelling around America with influencer pals, while Paige has been hanging out with her old friends back home. Paige recently enjoyed a glamorous day out with her Scots pals at the Ayr Racecourse over the weekend.
