Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis' relationship has hit headlines numerous times over the past few months following their marriage breakdown and her new relationship with former One Direction star, Harry Styles.
The pair have made it back into the spotlight in recent days after they slammed "false and scurrilous" claims made by their children's former nanny in a joint statement.
The ex-couple's nanny had made some sensational claims in a bombshell interview, accusations Jason and Olivia say are "incredibly upsetting".
But how did Olivia and Jason meet and why did the couple split?
Here's everything you need to know.
How did Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis meet?
Olivia and Jason met at a Saturday Night Live afterparty in 2011, but it wasn't until a year later that their relationship began.
The actor later told Access Hollywood he was nervous about kissing Olivia early on in their romance because he knew they would be together forever.
He revealed: “I just had a hunch that the second I kissed her, I wasn’t going to end up kissing ever kissing anyone ever again. So, it was like I had to be careful with it."
When did the couple get engaged?
Jason got down on one knee and proposed to Olivia in 2013, just one year into their relationship.
The same year, Olivia fell pregnant with the couple's first child, a son named Otis Sudeikis.
They later went on to have daughter Daisy Sudeikis in 2016.
The pair never made it down the aisle as they split in 2020 after a seven-year engagement.
Why did Olivia and Jason split up?
Olivia and Jason amicably split in November 2020 and soon after, sparks flew between the actress and pop star Harry Styles.
At the time of their marriage breakdown, Jason and Olivia said that their split was amicable and that there had been no animosity between them.
Jason was reportedly heartbroken by the news Olivia had moved on with Harry so soon - especially because they share two children together.
Earlier this year, Olivia was left stunned as she was handed custody papers from her ex-partner while on stage at CinemaCon to promote her new film Don't Worry Darling.
Jason hired a process server to hand crucial documents over to Olivia concerning their two young children.
According to Page Six at the time, Olivia was shocked when she was handed an envelope - titled "personal and confidential" - from a woman at Caesars Palace's in Las Vegas in April.
What has Jason and Olivia's nanny said?
In a bombshell interview, the former couple's ex-nanny has come out with some sensational claims about the couple.
The nanny, who has been kept anonymous, claimed Ted Lasso star Jason was once 'so distraught after finding out about Olivia's affair with Harry Styles' he 'threw himself in front of her car'.
The nanny also claimed Jason 'discovered Olivia had hooked up with Harry at Palm Springs after finding emails between the pair on her old Apple watch'.
The nanny, who is thought to have worked for the couple for three years, told the Daily Mail Jason fired her in February last year.
She claimed: "On the Monday morning [of] Nov. 9, when I came back from a weekend off, [Jason] was crying a lot, crying and crying. I didn’t know what had happened at all.
"After I’d got the kids ready, Jason came upstairs and was having some coffee. He was crying and a mess, saying, ‘She left us. She left us!"
She also claims that Jason banned his house staff from listening to Harry Styles music in his house following his and Olivia's break-up.
Speaking to The Mirror, in a combined statement, Jason and Olivia said: "As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly.
"We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone."
The former nanny is yet to respond to the couple's statement.
