We all love snooping around incredibly expensive houses - and quite frankly if you're going to do it, you might as well do it properly.
The top five most-viewed houses for sale on Rightmove so far this year certainly fit the bill, ranging from stately homes to luxury modern mansions to peaceful waterside retreats.
The house we went mad for the most was a £2.4million five-bedroom house on the shores of Lake Windermere, in the Lake District.
The property, Yew Tree, also has a private jetty and slipway, so anyone who buys it can enjoy boating or fishing on the lake whenever they like.
The house was built in the 1930s but has been renovated in a modern style, with four bathrooms, two reception rooms, a conservatory and an office.

It also has a garage and parking for up to eight cars.
Rightmove says a highlight is Yew Tree's gardens, which have "a private escape with lake views, outside lighting, and a selection of colourful foliage".
Next up is one for horsey types - with deep pockets.
Aspen House, in Essex, will set buyers back a cool £15million.

The mansion is set in 52 acres of private land, and comes with stables that can accomodate 10 horses.
It also has an Olympic-sized equestrian centre to give these horses a good workout.
Inside it has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a gym, cinema, swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The home also features a spa, complete with sauna and steam room, plus an underground car park with a lift and turntable, with enough space for 10 vehicles.
In third place is the £2.5million Restronguet Point, near Truro in Cornwall.

This house enjoys dreamy views over the beautiful Restronguet Creek, and has two balconies and a series of garden-facing windows so you can enjoy it in all its glory.
The property also includes a detached double garage and workshop, gym, and hot tub. It has five bedrooms and two bathrooms.

If all that isn't enough, it also has a private jetty, giving you plenty of opportunity to mess around in boats.
This next one is for the seriously loaded only, with a hefty price tag of £30million and covering a whopping 26,000 square feet.

Rightmove says the Surrey mansion is "straight out of the set of James Bond movie", and we can't help but agree - or perhaps Downton Abbey.
It comes complete with an indoor swimming pool with spa, gym and treatment room.
The house is set in 30 acres and comes with ten bedrooms, bowling alley, cinema and wine cellar.

For the socialites, the house has six reception rooms and a party room, plus a flat and two cottages for servants to live in too.
Last but definitely not least is the ten-bedroom Chanters House , near Ottery Saint Mary in Devon.
This period home from the 14th century has been completely renovated into a modern country home.
It has a reception hall with solid oak flooring and a huge period fireplace.

Just off the hall is a reception room with a remarkable history - it is believed to be where Oliver Cromwell declared the start of the English civil war in the 17th century.
If that wasn't impressive enough, it also has a library with 22,000 books.
It's yours for a snip at £5.95million.

Rightmove director of property data Tim Bannister said: “We’ve seen the busiest ever first half of a year in 2021, and while much has changed in the housing market, the nation’s obsession with property and searching for their dream home has stayed the same.
"From vast open views over Lake Windermere, to an Essex mansion complete with private gym and Equestrian Centre, it’s clear the luxury end of the market is still piquing the nation’s interest.”
