Inside Meghan Markle's 'Montecito makeover' as she ditches signature look

Meghan Markle has ditched her signature undone glamour and has a glossy new look.

The Duchess of Sussex's new hairstyle and dewy natural makeup is thought to be a "power move" and has been dubbed the "Montecito makeover" after the upmarket California town she's made home.

The Duchess, 41, debuted her new look as she she introduced friend and photographer Misan Harriman’s TED Talk on Sunday, April 23.

She then cemented her new polished vibe when she stepped out with husband Harry at a basketball game in LA.

Meghan has ditched her usual relaxed updos and dark smokey eye makeup for something a bit more polished and put together.

The Duchess was previously known for wearing her hair in a chic messy bun and even wore her signature style on her wedding day back in May 2018.

She also favoured a smooth bun on occasion with either a middle parting or none at all as seen on her South African Tour with Harry in 2019.

Meghan also wore a sleek low bun for Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.

Other notable hairstyles included a natural loose look like when she wore her hair down with a slight wave for her and Harry's engagement announcement.

Debuting her new look on April 23, Meghan also showed a much warmer colour in her hair than usual.

Not only this, but Meghan's makeup appeared dewier and a little lighter than usual, with her signature smoky eye ditched for a more muted copper hue shadow and wispy lashes.

Fans and experts think that Meghan's style move, has seen the former actress switch her British regal style to a more minimal polished look.

The Telegraph's Beauty Editor describes the look as a "polished power move".

But Meghan's makeup artist, Daniel Martin, says Meghan has always been a fan of minimal makeup.

Doing her makeup for her wedding day, Daniel spoke about how he loved making sure her freckles were visible, before swooning over her "incredible skin".

Gushing over her freckles in a chat with Grazia and talking about how much he "loves" them, he then added: "She has incredible skin so it was easy."
