Lionel Messi looks to be making plans for life in Miami after reportedly purchasing a multi-million dollar property with a switch to the MLS on the cards.
The PSG star has been linked with a move across the Atlantic before he finishes his playing days. He left Barcelona last summer after spending his whole career at the Nou Camp - and will have a decision to make when his two-year deal in Paris expires at the end of the summer.
David Beckham is keen to have Messi join him at Inter Miami as he looks to secure the services of arguably the greatest player in the game. The Times understands that Beckham is prepared to make the Argentine the highest paid player in MLS history.
And, according to Spanish outlet Cadena Sar, the 35-year-old has fuelled that speculation after paying £7.5m to land himself a luxury apartment near the beachfront in Miami.
The Porsche Design Tower, which was completed in 2017, offers the ideal spot for the player and his family to settle into their Florida life with the player keen to educate his children in Florida.
The property's unique selling point is a car lift, which allows residents to park their car and then have it on the same floor as them in the apartment block. The suite also includes huge living spaces with high ceilings and all the mod cons you'd expect.
Messi has proved this season, after a mixed first year with PSG, that his powered have not dwindled. He remains incredibly influential but did confess earlier this year that he wanted to experience life in the USA whilst a return to Barcelona was also on his mind.
He told Spanish TV station La Sexta : "My plan is to give all I can for the club at the moment. I would like to play in the United States and experience life and the league there, but ultimately come back to Barcelona in some capacity.
"I'm not thinking too far ahead in the short-term and just want to see how the season finishes."

PSG boss Christophe Galtier did admit recently that he was unsure whether Messi would remain at the club beyond this season. He said: "There are many parameters.
"The first thing is their desire. Do you want to continue at PSG? Are you happy here? The first thing to know is if he wants to continue. All these types of decisions are made between the player and [football advisor] Luis Campos."
Inter Miami recently saw a marquee name in Gonzalo Higuain call time on his career. Messi's compatriot was among the early headline arrivals but his retirement leaves a hole in the team's attack. Phil Neville currently manages a team that lost to New York City FC in the first round of the play-offs.
