Patrick Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks in recent NFL history, and has converted that ability into establishing an astonishing net worth off the field.
Kansas City Chiefs star Mahomes is aiming to win the second Super Bowl ring of his young career when he leads his team out against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.
Mahomes led the Chiefs to victory at Super Bowl LIV in 2020, beating the San Francisco 49ers 31-20. Shortly after, he signed a lucrative new contract worth $503million - with $26m of that tied up in potential bonuses over the next ten years.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Mahomes has a net worth of $50m (£41.4m), with that split between his endorsements, investments and salary.
Shortly after signing his $500m contract, the quarterback invested in Major League Baseball franchise The Kansas City Royals. The team had been sold for $1bn a year before his investment.
Mahomes has also bought into Major League Soccer side Sporting KC and KC Current of the National Women's Soccer League.
His wife, Brittany Mahomes, is also a co-owner alongside Patrick, and is famous in her own right through her fitness business ventures.
She's also become well known among NFL fans through her Instagram account, as she hasn't been shy about calling out opposition players. After the Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship game, she posted on twitter: "Cancun on 3", mocking the Bengals.
Despite his lavish net worth, Mahomes insisted he wouldn't change his personality after signing his record-breaking contract. He said: “I haven’t bought anything… I feel exactly the same… I’m going to be the same person I was before I got the contract and before I got to the NFL.”
