Inside Katie Price's Mucky Mansion: from idyllic family house to mess filled home

Ex-glamour model Katie Price has secured a new show on Channel 4 allowing viewers to sneak a peek inside her Mucky Mansion home.

The mum-of-five plans to reform her once idyllic family home to its former glory and take viewers along with her on the journey.

Katie bought the palatial pile in West Sussex from Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude in 2014 for a hefty £2million fee.

The once stunning 11 bedroom property is nestled in leafy Horsham and was at one time an enviable piece of real estate but now it is a shambles in dire need of repair.

The 2019 home video

Back in 2019, the 43-year-old went out of her way to give fans a look inside her home to try and prove once and for all her mansion wasn't actually mucky as she shared a video on YouTube.

But it only created negative discussion as the video caught rubbish piled up on the floors.

At the time she said just thinking about sorting through all the mess gives her a "headache".

In the stables, it even seemed as though the horses had been replaced by piles of clothes and in the door to the stables, a huge pile of bird poo was visible.

She said: "Instead of a horse there seems like there's some bird s***.

"It's exhausting to know where to start, which room which pile."

"I don't need these clothes and I'm always saying what can I wear? Where do I start?"

The caretaker

Her caretaker for the home, Charlie Farthing, spoke out about the state of the home as he described what it was actually like.

He claimed that the smell of cat and dog wee was overwhelming throughout the house and broken windows caused a draught throughout the building.

He said the 11 bedroom house has piles of dog poo everywhere.

The price drop

In the upcoming Channel 4 show, it is said that Katie will get an estimate of how much her huge home is now worth before any repairs are made.

It is thought the former glamour girl has lost around £1 million on the property after allowing it to fall into disrepair and a run of burglaries.

Back in 2021, after images appeared of Price and fiancé Carl Woods seemingly moving back into the flat after time living elsewhere, a neighbour told the Mirror: "I don't think Katie is actually moving back into the house, she's just using it for storage.

"And anyway it's such a mess that it would probably cost her a few hundred thousand just to make the place liveable again.

"The land is littered with flytipping, the cesspit needs to be replaced, there's fire damage and the ceiling is still damaged from the flood, so there's damp all through the house as well."

Katie Price's Mucky Mansion will air on Channel 4 on Wednesday January 26 at 9pm
