Inside Jordan Pickford's off-pitch life as England keeper 'shown in pub brawl'

Jordan Pickford was allegedly involved in a pub brawl over the weekend as Everton confirmed they were investigating the incident.

Footage emerged on social media of a punch-up outside a bar in Sunderland following the Black Cats' Checkatrade Trophy final defeat to Portsmouth on Sunday.

Punches are thrown on the video, although it is unclear by who, as others shout 'Jordan!' amid the chaos.

An Everton statement read: “The Club has been made aware of an alleged incident involving one of our players and we are looking into the matter.”

Pickford, 25, was born in Washington in the north east and attended St Robert of Newminster Catholic School.

It was there he met his childhood sweetheart and now fiancée, Megan Davison.

The duo have reportedly been an item since they were just 14, and Megan has been a vocal supporter of Pickford throughout his career so far.

She was in the stands at the World Cup to cheer him on and moved with the goalkeeper when he switched from Sunderland to Everton in 2017.

The pair have a baby boy together, who was born in February.

Pickford has been known to return to the north east with Megan for nights out and were snapped together at Plate Day at Newcastle Racecourse.

On the pitch, Pickford made his Sunderland debut in January 2016 in an FA Cup defeat to Arsenal .

He previously had loan spells with Darlington, Alfreton, Burton, Carlisle, Bradford and Preston.

After playing 32 times for Sunderland, he signed for Everton in a £25million deal on a five-year contract.

Pickford represented England at youth level in the Under-16s, U17s, U18s, U19s, U20s and U21s before winning his first senior cap in November 2017 against Germany.

Now established as England's first choice, he has 17 senior appearances, including playing every game in the 2018 World Cup as the Three Lions reached the semi-finals.
