Much-loved actor Jim Carrey 's California home, which is known as his "magical mansion" is currently up for sale - and has now had millions of dollars knocked off of the asking price.
The Bruce Almighty actor has knocked more than $2million off of the asking price for his Brentwood, California home after relocating to Hawaii.
Jim, 61, moved to his Hawaiian holiday home last year after he announced his hiatus from acting.
Last April the renowned actor said that he was "fairly serious" about retiring when he announced his hiatus, adding that he "might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break".
Considering retirement, the Canadian-American star decided to list his five-bedroom mansion, which is where he had resided for 30 years - and move to a more laidback neighbourhood.
At first the sprawling home was listed for a staggering $28.9 million, with it now reduced in price to attract a buyer.
His home, which he previously dubbed "a place or enchantment and inspiration", has now been reduced to an equally as eye watering $26.5 million.
Jim has previously spoken of how he hopes the 12,700-square-foot mansion will continue to be "a magical sanctuary" for its next owner.
And we are pretty sure that it will continue to be just that for whoever splashes the cash on this lavish pad.
The sprawling home has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and three half baths, with high-beam ceilings and skylights dotted throughout.
A huge kitchen sits within the walls of the huge home, with it boasting of white wooden cupboards, a huge island and sleek worktops.
As well as generously-sized living rooms, dining rooms and family rooms, the home boasts of a spacious gym and home office.
The master bedroom is not only massive in size, but it has some dreamy accents too, like a private patio and a wood-panelled bathroom.
Photos of the home show it decorated with a neutral white colour palette, with hints of colour and flair coming through with the art selections that are displayed throughout.
His love of art comes from how he is an experienced painter and sculptor, as well as being one of the best-loved and highest-paid comic actors in Hollywood.
Polished brick and hardwood floors are seen throughout, which add to the modern yet Art-Deco-style of this lavish abode.
And the inside of the mansion is just scratching the surface, with the surrounding areas of the home just as incredible and mesmerising.
The "magical mansion" has a huge outdoor space of two-acre grounds which include a whole host of must-haves for any Hollywood star.
Jim's mansion is surrounded by a full-size tennis court, a waterfall swimming pool, and a pool house with bar - perfect for Californian sunshine and lazy days beneath the rays.
It also boasts of having a sauna/steam room, various vegetable gardens, and leafy trees to add to the seclusion.
The house itself was was completed in 1951 and was described in the original listing as a “one-of-a-kind magical sanctuary".
Jim's sprawling home, which has featured on TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, is currently available with Janelle Friedman of Sotheby’s International.
