Tributes have been paid to Ivana Trump at her New York City townhouse following her death at the age of 73.
The 73-year-old was discovered inside her Manhattan home at the bottom of a staircase at around 12.40pm after someone called 911 to report a person, believed to be Ms Trump, suffering from cardiac arrest on Thursday.
Donald Trump confirmed the news of the death of his first wife in a statement on his social media platform Truth Social.
The former US president wrote: "I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City.
"She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life."
He added: "Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!"
Ivana lived in a seven-story townhouse in the Upper East Side of Manhattan - a sanctuary she called home for more than 30 years.
The interior of the stately home was extravagant filled with strong gold features and each room has powerful colour schemes and grand fixtures.
Other features included two large dining tables accompanied with chandeliers, a grand piano, a red carpet draping over a spiral staircase and Chinese murals among a number of statement interior pieces.
The doorway of her Upper East Side condo at 10 East 64th Street also had a flower tribute in honour of Ms Trump.
Ivana grew up under Communist rule in the former Czechoslovakia and married Trump, who was her second husband, in 1977.
The couple, who shared three children together, divorced in 1992 in what was a very public split.
Their marriage broke down after it was discovered the former president was having an affair with Marla Maples, who would later become his second wife.
The Trump family said in a statement released by ABC News: "Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend.
"Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination.
"She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and 10 grandchildren."
