Inside I'm A Celebrity's Sue Cleaver's incredible three stone weight loss

I'm A Celebrity star and Coronation Street icon Sue Cleaver has won widespread praise for raising awareness of diabetes during her time in the jungle.

The 59-year-old has been exempt from several of the challenges, with man viewers believing it is because of her condition.

Fans have also spotted the actor wearing a patch on the show, which many have speculated is a Dexcom, something used by people with diabetes.

Her condition was first reported back in 2011 when she collapsed on the set of Corrie and had to have hospital treatment.

Since then, the beloved star has shed a whopping three stone thanks to a Mediterranean diet.

The actress who plays Eileen Grimshaw in Corrie, is also a diabetic and shockingly collapsed on the set of Coronation Street in 2011 which forced her to change her diet.

A source told The Sun at the time: "Sue was looking pretty off at around 9am just as we were getting ready for filming. Then all of a sudden she just seemed to collapse and everyone was panicking."

An ambulance was called and she was taken to hospital.

Sue seems to have been on a mission ever since the incident and it's evidently working wonders for her, seeing her go from a size 14 to a 12.

The diet is high in vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, beans, cereals, grains, fish and unsaturated fats such as olive oil according to the NHS and usually includes a low intake of meat and dairy foods.

A source close to Sue told Woman Magazine : "She hasn't been this size since she was in her 30s. She's always been a self-confessed foodie, who admitted that over-indulgence was her Achilles Heel. Now, everything has changed."

"She's in this for the long game and wants to live a long, happy and healthy life."

Sue has since been sharing her tips on how to lose weight with her fans on various celebrity video messages.

"Sue just wants to make sure people lose weight in a good and healthy fashion and thought it was a great idea to help share her journey."

Sue showcased her incredible transformation at the press night for The Full Monty in Manchester in February.

"Losing weight and keeping it off was not only important for Sue, but also the men in her life - her partner and son, Elliot" disclosed the source.

Keep up the good work, Sue.
