Inside home frozen in time for 10 years after it is raided for drugs by police

A home was left frozen in time after a family was forced to flee during a police drug raid - and never returned.

Urban Explorer Enrique R, 18, from Washington township, US, captured eerie images of the abandoned home left to rot after the owners were forced to vacate around ten-years ago.

Eerie images show a young girl’s room left abandoned as if she were just about to return to play her half-finished board game.

Other images show the furniture the family would have used daily, left just as it had the day the police raided the home.

Enrique explored the home in New Jersey, US, for around an hour, capturing sinister feeling images using his phone, a Pixel 7.

The home has been left abandoned for around ten-years after the last owners, known as Mr and Mrs Smith, had to vacate from the property with their daughter after Mr Smith was caught in a standoff with law enforcement due to drug charges.

The legend goes that Mr. Smith had been caught with drug paraphernalia such as fentanyl after raiding the home, leaving the father to be taken by the police and the mother and child to eventually flee the home.

Enrique found the home to be eerily left as if they had vacated the home yesterday, with items and rooms left as if they were stuck in time.

The most unnerving part of Enrique’s exploration was the young daughter’s room, which was still left as if it had been untouched from the moment the family left, with a half-finished board game still sitting on the table waiting to be finished by the family that would never return.

Enrique had an uneasy feeling in the home and felt as though it was incredibly creepy to witness first-hand the remains of a family torn apart more than a decade ago still frozen in time.

“It was built around the '60s as a home for Mr. And Mrs. Smith, where they eventually settled down and had a child, however Mr. Smith began getting into some shady business relating to drug use and dealing, and cops eventually found out where he lived,” he said.

“A long standoff took place, and when the police eventually came in and raided the home they arrested the man and found many drugs inside such as fentanyl.

“It has been abandoned for around ten years now. It did feel quite creepy at first, as everything was still inside just like the owners left it.

“My favourite part of it was seeing the little girl's bedroom on the second floor. Everything was still frozen in time inside, even with a half finished board game round still on the table.

“It was really cool exploring it, and seeing everything that was still left inside, it was both sad and stunning at the same time, knowing that the family had to just up and leave, especially the daughter who had to leave all her belongings behind.”
