Horrifying pictures show inside a haunted amusement park dubbed "one of the most terrifying places in America" – where tragic deaths took place
An urban explorer and ghost hunter has left TikTok users terrified after exploring an infamous amusement park built on a burial ground.
Kalani, 23, explored the abandoned amusement park, located in Rock, Virginia, US, which he claims to be one of the most "haunted" locations in the country.
Some of the spooky signs include screams and mysterious chants that have reportedly been heard at the site, and swing sets that "move on their own".
The 800-acre park space closed in 1966 and was purchased by a construction company, which later decided against its building plans after discovering Native American artefacts were buried underground.
Kalani recently shared a video of the park on TikTok, sharing its story.
"It turns out that the amusement park was built on a Native American burial ground," Kalani told NeedToKnow.online.
"During the 1700s, the Clay family moved out [to the area] and established the farm. Tragedy struck the family in 1783 after a Native American tribe allegedly killed two children and burned one at the stake.
"In 1962, rides and attractions were set up alongside water slides and a dance hall and speakeasy."
He said things started to go bad after a little girl died on the swings and a young boy drowned in the pond.
In the park's short history six people died then it was left abandoned.
The tik-tokker said it ranks as one of the "most terrifying places in America and visitors have heard of mysterious chants, footsteps and children's voices."
One of the swings, where the little girl died, often moves on its own.
Images show a decaying Ferris wheel and a creepy ventriloquist dummy decaying.
Kalani said: "We heard footsteps in the woods. I'd say the best way to describe [the park] is run-down - there's very evident signs of nature taking over.
"There were no signs of damage, as the property is still managed by the family [who last purchased it].
"The only two remaining pieces of the park are the Ferris wheel and swings – all the other rides have been sold off."
Users in the comments shared their fear. One user said: “'Burial ground' you mean cemetery…no wonder it’s “haunted” someone built an amusement park over a cemetery."
Someone else wrote: “First thing I see I'm running faster than flash and sonic.”
Another person added: “This reminds me of the abandoned amusement park in the newest goosebumps”
Kalani added: "The location would appeal to a variety of people, not just the paranormal adrenaline junkies.
"It's estimated 3,500 people are buried there and it's an overall spooky place to visit."
