Glasgow's newest gym has opened its doors in the east end.
Factory Weights HQ boasts a gym, personal training academy and equipment store. It sits just off the Gallowgate and officially launched on July 29.
The idea for the new fitness centre was born amid the boom of at-home workouts during Scotland's two lockdowns. The 40,000 square-foot space promises use of their fully equipped, state-of-the-art outdoor and indoor gym space for members.

Personal trainers and those within the industry can also use it as a studio with free, streamed fitness classes as part of their digital offering. Equipment can be purchased at the east end site, with a try-before-you-buy option for customers.
Co-founder Tom Russell said :We launched our business after seeing the demand for good quality gym equipment surge throughout the pandemic. But now we can see from our sales that the trend for training and fitness is only increasing with sales up 44 per cent this year.
"At our new headquarters we will have a team of fitness experts that can advise on the sports equipment that would be best for each individual customer, and we can allow them to physically try out the equipment before they buy.
"Something that other retailers currently can’t offer due to lack of space and physical stock. Our new showroom will allow us to bring our online offering to life and give our customers an experiential shopping experience creating a real hub for the local community and beyond.”
The founders are 'extremely passionate' about making fitness more accessible to the East End community and hope the new space will become a 'busy, active hub' in the area. Talks with local schools about providing access and direct equipment on a free basis for secondary schools in the surrounding areas are in the works too.
Factory Weight's new headquarters is located at 90 Camlachie Street,G31 4AD across from the Forge Retail Park and will be open seven days a week. Follow their Instagram page for more updates.
