However rooms are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Townhouse, with the Spence Brasserie also open to everyone and sitting beneath an incredible glass-domed ceiling.

There are other dining and drinking locations in the Townhouse, however you do need to be a member or hotel guest to get to enjoy them.

Located on the top floor lies the 'Lamplighters Bar' which has both an indoor and outdoor section, with the roof terrace looking out over the square and over to the Old Town.

Featuring some of the best views in the city centre, members can also admire the vista from inside as they relax in the breathtakingly designed bar.

Other spaces include the Note Burning Room, which is designed for breakfast meetings and brunches, as well as The Telling Rooms , for remote working and a coffee.

Finally, down in the historic former bank vault lie the 'Strong Rooms' and the hotels five-star spa, which will be offering treatments, therapies and use of the sauna and 'cryotherapy chamber.'

Now open for business, rates for rooms at the hotel start from £495, with reservations for The Spence available via the website.
