Inside Conor McGregor's gruelling training regime as he prepares for UFC comeback

Conor McGregor is set to return to the UFC later this year as he continues his comeback after a gruesome leg injury.

McGregor broke his leg in his loss to Dustin Poirier last year but is well on his way to recovery under a year later.

The Dubliner faced off against Poirier last July in Las Vegas looking to avenge his loss earlier that year but the contest was ended in the first round after his horror leg break.

And after undergoing major surgery, McGregor is back in the gym as he prepares for a return.

When will McGregor return to the octagon?

Neither the UFC or Conor McGregor have confirmed his comeback bout but he is expected to return later in 2022 or early in 2023.

Who will he fight?

McGregor's opponent has not been confirmed.

What is his training regime?

McGregor has not revealed his training regime but has been busy sharing snaps on social media.

The two-time UFC champion has said that he has been cleared for sparring but understandably has not been sharing photos of his MMA training as he looks to ramp up his activity after his horror injury.

The fighter has however been sharing snaps from inside the famous Crumlin Boxing club as he works on his boxing.

McGregor recently took to Instagram and teased his return saying : "Right hook tastiness, catch you soon the count down is on."

And judging by the photos, McGregor is showing no rustiness on the punching bag.

We fully expect McGregor to further ramp up his training with striking coach Owen Roddy and John Kavanagh in coming weeks the SBG men could keep their training under wraps so as to not give anything away ahead of his return.
