Boris Johnson has put his home in London on the market for £1.6 million. The Prime Minister and his wife Carrie bought the four-bed Victorian townhouse in the south of the city for £1.2million back in July 2019, the same month that Boris became PM.
However it was reported that the pair didn't spend much time at their property in Camberwell, as Boris soon moved into Downing Street to carry out his duties. The three-storey house was put back on the market on August 5, exactly a month after the Prime Minister announced his resignation.
According to the register of MPs' interests, Boris and Carrie enjoy a rental income of 'at least' £10,000 per year. Athough it looks as though the pair will be making an extra £400,000 in profit if it sells for its listed million-pound price.

According to a neighbour of the South London property, which is close to Camberwell's Myatts Field Park, decorators were spotted in the home earlier this year, reports MyLondon.
Carrie has reportedly been seen at the house recently, with gardeners tidying the back of the house and planting trees at the front, according to the Metro, while Boris has not been spotted there for two years.

The plush property has been described by South West London estate agents Davis & Gibbs as: "A beautiful Victorian four double bedroom terraced house, with an impressive 2100 sq ft of space and offering an abundance of character in the sought after Myatts Field area of Camberwell.
"The property is finished to an excellent standard throughout, tasteful decor and retains many characteristics including shutters, wooden floors and low level cast iron radiators. The rooms are generously proportioned with natural light throughout. The house is delivered over three full original floors."

They added: "The property is located opposite the entrance to the picturesque Victorian Myatts Field Park. This hidden London gem is hugely popular with the local community."
The home features four double bedrooms, three bathrooms, a reception room, an open plan kitchen that leads into a dining room and a back garden.

Back in May Boris' south London townhouse was hit by a car in the early hours of the morning.
A black Vauxhall Astra crashed into a tree outside the four-bed home and neighbours described the crash as sounding like 'thunder'.

Police said no offences were committed in the crash and the driver was treated for a minor injury. The car, which was eventually towed away at 5pm, damaged the hedges, tree and knocked over a small ornamental pillar in the front garden.
At the time the property was coming towards the end of a six-month long refurbishment and when builders tried to get into the property they had to use a saw to cut their way through the greenery.
