Inside Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' family life after Taylor Swift's sweet shoutout

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been enjoying spending time in Wales in recent months after the Deadpool star bought Wrexham AFC with pal Rob McElhenney.

The pair have been sharing the whirlwind ride with the loyal fans of the lower league club at the same time Blake, 35, welcomed the couple's fourth child. The new tot joins older siblings James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3, in the family's adorable brood.

The youngsters even received a special shoutout by Ryan, 46, and Blake's longtime pal Taylor Swift at her recent Eras Tour gig in Philadelphia.

It comes after the youngsters were the driving force behind lyrics in TayTay's hit tune Betty, which was released in 2020.

There was also speculation that the newest addition to Ryan and Blake's brood got a sweet nod on her Midnights album, but the songstress is yet to confirm or deny.

So, as one of Hollywood's golden couples continue to receive accolades left, right and centre, the Mirror takes a look into their sweet family life.

After meeting on the set of Green Lantern in early 2010, Blake and Ryan are said to have became an item a year later following his split from first wife Scarlett Johansson.

Ryan and Blake then tied the knot at Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina in 2012. Almost a decade later, however, Ryan apologised for their venue choice, labelling it a "giant f***ing mistake".

The actor, 43, said in an interview with Fast Company in 2020 that he and Blake, feel "deeply sorry" for the decision.

He said: "What we saw at the time was a wedding venue on Pinterest. What we saw after was a place built upon devastating tragedy."

Following their wedding day, the duo welcomed their first child in 2014 and have stuck by a number of unbendable rules surrounding the tots. One such decision is that neither of them share shots of the youngsters on social media.

They have uprooted from the hills in Hollywood to forge a family life in a more secluded area of New York - while also purchasing a lavish property in Wales for their frequent football-filled trips.

Speaking in 2015 of their reasoning behind the location choice, Ryan told The Project: "I think it’s keeping a boundary that there’s this world that is the job and the world that is the home."

He added: "We don’t live in L.A. We live on a farm in New York. And we don’t lead a wild and crazy life. It’s not that hard. It’s not a big deal."

He's recently called his home "a zoo" after the arrival of baby number four. But he admits he wouldn't have it any other way and is loving life as a "six".

Speaking to CNBC's Power Lunch, Ryan told hosts Tyler Mathisen and Kelly Evans: "Look, we wouldn't do this four times if we didn't love it. Everybody's doing great. Everybody's actually doing fantastic."

And joking about how he finds being a parent, he added: "If we haven't figured it out by now, I think we'd be in deep, deep trouble. But, yeah, it's a zoo over here."
