Inside Amber Heard's new life in Spain after explosive Johnny Depp defamation lawsuit

Amber Heard decided to relocate to Spain with her two-year-old daughter Oonagh following her explosive defamation lawsuit against Johnny Depp.

The 37-year-old actress has been keeping a low profile since the end of the highly-publicised trial, which saw a jury return a verdict in Johnny's favour.

Amber's insurance company was ordered to pay $1million (£795,000) to her ex-husband, with the actress then upping sticks and leaving Hollywood behind.

Amber has revealed she hopes her big move is a permanent one and even sold her Yucca Valley home in California back in May.

Speaking in a TikTok video, the Aquaman star said she "loves Spain so much".

When asked if she would be staying in Spain, Amber replied: "I hope so. I love living here."

Following her relocation, there had been rumours that Amber would be retiring from acting, but she shut down this speculation.

In the video, she said she had some film projects in the works, adding: "Of course. I move on, that's life."

Her new film In the Fire is being released at Taormina Film Festival, which takes place from June 23-July 1. In the thriller, Amber stars as a pioneering psychiatrist, who sets out to help a desperate child.

Amber has reportedly been living in near the town of Costitx, Majorca, which has a population of 1,270 people. Her new home is thought to have set the star back more than $3million (£2.4million).

According to reports, Amber is bilingual in Spanish and is happy being able to raise her daughter "away from all of the noise".

Speaking about how she has fitted in with the locals, the town's grocer, Miguel, said: "She's like everyone else."

He told El Mundo: "She buys fruit and vegetables, speaks Spanish with a Mexican accent, and is very polite, she always says good morning to us."

He added: "Everyone here treats her like one of the others. In fact, she has been in this town for months without anyone knowing."

A source close to Amber said she decided to move to Spain in order to "get more privacy" after the defamation lawsuit.

"The trial was beyond stressful for her and she just wanted to start fresh out of the country. is excited about working and filming again," they said.

Speaking to People, the source added: "She was exhausted and disappointed about the trial. She felt she was mistreated."
