Innis & Gunn Dundee showcases St Patrick’s Day treats

Innis & Gunn Dundee is set to give drinkers a spectacular taste of Ireland next week.

The hugely popular brewery taproom in Tay Square next to the Dundee Rep is laying on a St Patrick’s Day treat next Thursday.

Running since 2018, the brewery’s ‘Versus’ series of events offers the perfect night out for foodies, with flavours from around the globe brought to life through bespoke menus.

Each menu offers four small plates per person, paired with four beers from some of Innis & Gunn’s favourite brewers that suit the theme, and four cocktails created in collaboration with a specially selected premium spirit brand.

Throughout the experience, attendees get the chance to vote for their favourite dish, beer or spirit, with the winner crowned grand champion at the end of the night.

The ‘Versus’ menu for Dundee’s ‘St Patrick’s Day’ celebration features:

- Colcannon Puffs – fried potato and leek puffs with Irish cheese sauce

- Stout and Honey Glazed Ribs – slow cooked pork (or corn ribs for V), with a stout and honey reduction

- Irish Stout Stew – Beef or veggie stout stew, with house made soda bread

- Irish Banoffee – Stout caramel, banana, Irish whipped cream, biscuit

The dishes will be paired with Irish Whiskey cocktails thanks to a collaboration with Slane Irish Whiskey and a selection of Irish beers from some of Innis & Gunn’s favourite Irish brewers.

The Versus series continues through the year.

Next month, as the cherry blossoms bloom, each Innis & Gunn Brewery Taproom will put their own twist on a Japanese menu, in collaboration with Roku gin, Haku vodka and Toki Japanese whisky.

May will see Spanish beer go head-to-head with Spanish wine, accompanied by premium Spanish Tapas.

While in June there will be an offer the chance to join a Belgian beer dinner.

- Tickets for March ‘St Patrick’s Day’ ‘Versus’ events are £30 and can be snapped up on the Innis & Gunn website here.
