Inner peace is the goal of 137 Pillars art exhibition

'Timeless Truth' dinner. 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok

137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok on Sukhumvit 39 presents "Wisdom Of Self", a three-part celebration consisting of an art exhibition, art therapy workshop and dining experience to remind us what is essential in life.

A collaboration with TwelveArt and Mission On, the programme starts with the "Wisdom Of Self" art exhibition curated around the theme of "Seeing the nature of oneself, and walking away from restraints towards liberation".

It features video lectures, paintings, shibari-bondage, and interactive art by nine artists and philosophers of multiple disciplines. The line-up includes Alan Watts, Alongkorn Lauwatthana, Charannatan Tanachoteporamat, E.G.PE, James Norbury, Jood Jung, Juli Baker and Summer, Palut Marod and Yada Kinabaku.

A contemporary and borderless interpretation of enso, a circle that represents mastery of the self, the exhibition touches on the themes such as acceptance, mindfulness, being true to oneself, external influences on the mind, self-mastery and reflection. It can be viewed at Baan Borneo Club, Level 26, daily from 11am to 6pm until Sept 23.

Beyond the art exhibition, guests can enhance their journey through "Mission On Wisdom", an expressive art therapy workshop facilitated by Onraya Himakorn, head therapist at Mission On.

Designed to help participants achieve profound self-acceptance and a sense of inner peace, discover their ideal self and live up to their true self, the two-hour workshop comprises automatic writing, symbolic projection through archetype cards, candle carving and forest bathing mindfulness practice.

It will be conducted in both Thai and English at the Rajah Brooke Meeting Room on Saturday and again on Aug 6 and 20 at 4pm. The fee is 2,600 baht with seats limited to 15 persons per session.

Finally, guests can conclude their self-transformation journey over "Timeless Truth", a meticulously designed three-course dinner inspired by the ancient Taoist wisdom.

Prepared by executive chef Maxim Baile, the exquisite meal for both the mind and eyes will be served at Baan Borneo Club on the same days of the workshop. It's now open for advanced bookings and special requests. The fee is 1,490 baht for food and 1,990 baht including alcohol pairing.
