Injury Report: Warriors’ Steph Curry (shoulder) set to have MRI on Thursday

After the Golden State Warriors suffered another loss on the road to drop their record away from San Francisco’s Chase Center to 2-13, the headlines from the contest in Indiana are surrounding an injury that happened at the end of the third quarter.

With two minutes remaining in the third quarter, Steph Curry appeared to injure his shoulder against the Indiana Pacers. Curry shortly left the game and returned to the locker room. Following his exit, the eight-time All-Star guard was officially ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Pacers.

Following the game, Steve Kerr announced Curry would have an MRI on Thursday.

Prior to his injury, Curry was carrying the Warriors in Indiana, recording 38 points, sevene assists and seven boards in only 30 minutes.

The Warriors are already missing starting All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins due to injury. Wiggins has missed the last five games due to an adductor strain.

If Curry’s injury causes him to miss time, the Warriors will need to use their depth in the next stop on their six-game road swing. With Wiggins and Klay Thompson out on Wednesday, Steve Kerr opted to start Jordan Poole and Donte DiVincenzo against the Pacers.

The Warriors are slated to meet Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday at 4:30 p.m. PT.
