Before hosting the Utah Jazz on Sunday night at San Francisco’s Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors made a late addition to the injury report.
With Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala already ruled out against Utah, the Warriors ruled out Klay Thompson due to knee soreness before tipoff. Thompson was out for the second leg of a back-to-back on Friday against the Houston Rockets.
According to Steve Kerr, Thompson’s knee soreness is “nothing too concerning,” via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Klay Thompson has knee soreness. He is out tonight vs Jazz. Late scratch. "Day to day," Kerr says. Surgically repaired knee. "Nothing too concerning. Just part of the cautiousness," Kerr says.

Since making his return from an Achilles and knee injury that kept him out two seasons, Thompson has played six games, averaging 14.7 points on 37.2% shooting from the field.
As he continues to ramp up his highly-anticipated return, the Warriors will likely be patient and cautious with Thompson.
With Thompson out, Jordan Poole will slide back into the starting lineup. Gary Payton II and Damion Lee could also see increased roles off the bench on Sunday behind Steph Curry and Poole.
The Warriors are slated to host the Jazz on at 5:30 p.m. PT on Sunday at Chase Center.
