Injury Report: Warriors’ Kevon Looney questionable (left quad) vs. Jazz on Wednesday

The Golden State Warriors could have a thin frontcourt on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz.

Warriors center Kevon Looney is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s road contest against the Utah Jazz due to a left quad contusion.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Looney suffered the injury while setting a screen against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

If Looney isn’t available, the Warriors won’t have a traditional center in the rotation against the Jazz, with Draymond Green also ruled out.

Via @anthonyVslater on Twitter:

Looney has played every game during the 2021-22 campaign for the Warriors, averaging 6.2 points and 7.6 rebounds in 21.3 minutes per contest.

The Warriors could opt to go small with Jonathan Kuminga, Juan Toscano-Anderson or Nemanja Bjelica at the center position.

Along with Green and James Wiseman, both Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala are also slated to miss Wednesday’s game against the Jazz to start a home and away back-to-back.
