Injury can't deter interest: £2.5m bid for Motherwell's Lennon Miller 'rejected'

Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller may still be sidelined through injury, but that hasn’t put off any potential transfer suitors.

It's reported by Sky Sports that the 18-year-old has been subject to a £2.5million bid from Serie A side Udinese. Although, Motherwell have turned down the initial offer.

Miller has already made 63 appearances for the Fir Park club and even deputised as captain in Paul McGinn's absence earlier this season.

Several young Scots have made the switch over to Italy in recent years, with the likes of Lewis Ferguson, Josh Doig, and Billy Gilmour all reaping the benefits.

Will that prospect be something that Miller sees as the ideal next step? It could well be, but Motherwell want their valuation met first. And it's suggested it could eclipse the £3.5m they received from Celtic for David Turnbull in 2020.

Motherwell have only won one of their last five matches since the Scotland Under-21s star was injured against Rangers on December 29, emphasising his importance to Stuart Kettlewell's team.
