Rohan Murty, the son of Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy, and Lakshmi Venu, daughter of TVS Motors chairperson Venu Srinivasan, have separated formally after four years of marriage, reports said on Friday.
According , Rohan and Lakshmi, who separated two years ago, filed for divorce in April this year. They were granted a mutual consent divorce, which came through on October 31, by a family court in Chennai.
Rohan, who went to Cornell and Harvard, and Lakshmi, who studied at Yale, were engaged in August 2010 and married in a high-profile ceremony in June 2011 in Chennai.
The strains in their relationship first came out in the public when Rohan’s entire family was conspicuous by its absence at the wedding of Lakshmi’s brother Sudarshan to LMW scion Tara in September, 2014.
