Influencer's £75k supercar 'deliberately tampered with' before motorway crash

A social media influencer says his £75k supercar went out of control and span across four lanes on the motorway because it had been "deliberately tampered with".

The Mercedes AMG GTS belonging to Gurvin Singh Dyal, known online as Mr Gurvz, spun out of control on the M6 driving from Manchester to London.

The car swerved terrifyingly across all four lanes and spun around about three times before eventually coming to a standstill on the carriageway, the 23-year-old said.

Fortunately the incident, which occurred at about 9.30am on Monday, June 27, ended without anyone being seriously injured.

But police examining the scene told Gurvin they suspected foul play, reports Birmingham Live.

When traffic officers arrived they told the influencer and businessman all four tyres had been tampered with, he said.

"I had parked my car in a car-park overnight and I was on the motorway driving at about 55mph as it was rainy and all of a sudden my car swerved all four lanes," he said.

"I was in the right lane and it swerved to the left lane. I pulled the steering wheel to the right and the whole car started to spin 360 and turned about three times.

"I managed to bring the car to a standstill in the left lane, there was no hard shoulder. I didn't hit any other cars or the barrier, it was very lucky.

"A family saw what happened and stopped and I got out of the car then called the police. I was in shock, I've been told by traffic officers that all four wheels have been tampered with. Three of the wheel nuts were taken out.

"I don't know if that's someone trying to kill me or steal the alloys. It was all sorted within 45 minutes. The car scraped along the floor and it was damaged underneath. It could have been a lot worse, could have hit nine or 10 cars.

"People should definitely check their cars, especially if they've been in a car park."

West Midlands Police has been asked to comment.
