It was a good turnout at the Barrhead Foundry Indoor Market recently as local craftspeople set up their stalls and sold their wares for the latest community event.

The event was a roaring success, said the venue’s team manager, Kirsty McIntosh. She said: “The event went really well, and even though it was a nice day outside people still came in to visit. I thought we might have struggled with numbers but it was actually really busy.”
The market hosts around 25 stalls, with a variety of goods on offer, from crystals and knitwear, to balms for dogs and dog tags, psychic readings and handmade candles.
The market happens on the second Saturday of every month.
The organisers, Natalie Wood and Kirsty Davidson try to keep the offering fresh by arranging for different stall holders to attend each month.
The event is possible thanks to support from the East Renfrewshire Leisure and Culture.
