Indianapolis Colts Must Win In Week 15 To Make The NFL Playoffs

The Indianapolis Colts enter their week 15 contest with a 6-7 record.

They will take on the Denver Broncos, who have an 8-5 record.

Indianapolis is eighth in the AFC while the Broncos are seventh and hold the final wild-card spot.

Below, we discuss the critical Colts vs Broncos matchup and give the game announcers for the massive week 15 contest.

Indianapolis Colts Must Win In Week 15

With four weeks remaining in the regular season, this is a must-win for the Colts.

Both teams are coming off a bye and should be fresh for a critical week 15 contest.

Before their bye week, the Colts lost four of their last six games. They are still in a position to make the playoffs but they cannot afford to lose in week 15.

Indianapolis will still need help to make the playoffs even if they defeat Denver in week 15.

Anthony Richardson will need to have a good game and take care of the ball against a good Broncos defense. The Colts will rely heavily on Jonathan Taylor in week 15. Taylor has seen 20 or more rush attempts in four of the last six games. Despite the significant rush attempts, Taylor has not scored a rushing TD since October 27.

Indianapolis’ defense has been shaky at best this season. They have the tall task of facing a hot rookie QB in Bo Nix.

Before their bye week, the Denver Broncos won three straight. Bo Nix has been lights out since October. He is making a strong case for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year over Jayden Daniels. Nix has thrown for two or more passing TDs in six of his last nine games. With Nix surging, so has Courtland Sutton. Sutton has recorded 70 or more receiving yards in six straight games. In the last six games, he has recorded 100+ receiving yards in three games.

Another big reason for Denver’s success this season is their defense. They rank second in the league in points allowed per game. Denver’s pass rush has been excellent this season as they lead the league in sacks per game. The defense along with rookie QB Bo Nix is why the Broncos are in a prime position to make the playoffs for the first time in nine years.

This is a must-win game for the Indianapolis Colts. If Indy loses, they will not make the playoffs. However, if the Colts win and are 7-7 and Denver is 8-6, the Colts still have a chance of getting into the postseason as they will have the tiebreaker over Denver. After this critical contest, each team will have three games left during the season.
