An Indiana teen has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and two terrorism-related charges after allegedly plotting a Valentine’s Day massacre. The teen, identified as Trinity Shockley, is being held without bond in the Morgan County Jail. Shockley, who is transgender and also goes by the name Jamie, is set to appear at a bond hearing on Tuesday.
Authorities were alerted to Shockley's plans thanks to an anonymous tipster who reported that Shockley had access to an AR-15 rifle and had expressed admiration for past school shooters. Shockley had allegedly been planning the attack for a year and had detailed the plans in messages on the messaging app Discord.
The FBI traced the messages back to Shockley, leading to their arrest. Shockley, a senior at Mooresville High School, had planned the attack for February 14, mirroring the date of the tragic Parkland school shooting.

Shockley's fixation on mass shooters, including Nikolas Cruz, the perpetrator of the Parkland shooting, was evident through various items found in their possession. Shockley had expressed a sexual attraction to Cruz and had even named children they wanted to have with him.
Police discovered notebooks with disturbing content in Shockley's bedroom, along with a collage of mass shooters on one wall. Additionally, items such as AR-15 magazines, bullets, and a soft armor vest were found in Shockley's father's room.
Despite the tragic circumstances surrounding Shockley, Mooresville Schools have emphasized the availability of mental health resources for all students. The school district is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of its students, aiming to maintain a secure and supportive learning environment.
