An Indiana man, Timothy Ray Lisby, 59, is currently facing aggravated battery charges after a tragic incident where he allegedly stabbed his own son in the heart during an argument over dirty dishes in the sink. The incident took place on June 14 at a mobile home on Dogie Road in Indianapolis.
According to reports, a family friend, Jeremiah Green, who was present during the altercation, stated that the dispute escalated to a physical confrontation between Lisby and his son, Christopher Allen Lisby, 31. Green recounted that the father, Timothy Lisby, armed himself with a spoon initially and began stabbing his son with it. Subsequently, Timothy retrieved another sharp object from the kitchen and thrust it into Christopher's chest.
Green acted swiftly by calling 911, and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene. Christopher Lisby was found in the living room with a severe chest wound and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery on his lacerated heart. Despite medical efforts, Christopher succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Jeremiah Green, deeply affected by the tragic event, expressed his intention to testify against Timothy Lisby in court, seeking justice for his late friend. Green emphasized the emotional toll of witnessing the violent incident and losing someone he cared for deeply.
Timothy Lisby is currently held without bond at Marion County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 21. The case has been turned over to homicide detectives, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the appropriate charges in light of the tragic outcome.
