An Indiana man died after crashing into a light pole on Interstate 80 near Kedzie Avenue Saturday night.
Eric Gehres, 34, was going west on Interstate 80 when he lost control of his Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, struck a light pole and flipped over near Kedzie Avenue about 11:20 p.m., Illinois state police said.
He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, state police said.
Lanes were reopened at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, officials said.
