The Indiana Fever have experienced a resurgence in recent years with the acquisitions of Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston. Following their playoff appearance last season, the franchise has announced plans to construct a new state-of-the-art practice facility set to open before the 2027 WNBA season. The $78 million performance center will be located in downtown Indianapolis and will be connected to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the team's home arena, via a skybridge.

Pacers Sports and Entertainment owner Herb Simon expressed excitement about the partnership with Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett in selecting the ideal location for the Indiana Fever Sports Performance Center. The new facility will feature two regulation-sized courts with natural light, top-notch strength and conditioning equipment, a yoga and Pilates area, a hydration station, and a full-service kitchen.

In addition, players will have access to a spa-like retreat offering amenities such as massage services, infrared light therapy, sauna, steam rooms, heat studios, float tanks, and multiple hydrotherapy pools. The center will also include a private outdoor courtyard, mental performance spaces, a hair and nail salon, childcare area, and a podcast and content production studio to support player lifestyles.

Aliyah Boston expressed her excitement about the new facility, highlighting the support and investment from team owners. The Fever consulted with players early in the planning process to ensure that the facility meets their needs, with Lexie Hull emphasizing the convenience of having all necessary amenities on-site for optimal recovery and preparation.

Indiana Fever President of Basketball and Business Operations Kelly Krauskopf emphasized the organization's commitment to providing top-tier resources for player success. The construction of this elite training center underscores the team's dedication to creating a first-class player experience tailored specifically for women athletes, setting them apart in the league.

Other WNBA teams such as Las Vegas, Seattle, Phoenix, and Chicago have also invested in new training facilities in recent years, reflecting a league-wide trend towards enhancing player development and well-being.
