An unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday when an Indian navy speedboat collided with a ferry carrying over 100 passengers to Elephanta Island, a popular tourist destination near Mumbai. According to a statement released by the navy, the speedboat, which was undergoing engine tests, lost control and circled before crashing into the ferry named 'Neelkamal.' Fortunately, 99 ferry passengers were rescued following the collision.

Tourists who were on board the ferry were promptly picked up and transferred to jetties and nearby hospitals for medical assistance.
