India's Ishan Kishan creates history against Bangladesh with fastest ODI double century

Ishan Kishan has scored the fastest double century in ODI history during India's match against Bangladesh in Chattogram.

Kishan also became the seventh batter to score 200 runs or more in a men's ODI innings.

He reached his double century in 126 deliveries after hitting nine sixes and 24 fours,

The 24-year-old joins Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar as the only Indians to have achieved the feat.

By the time Taskin Ahmed was able to get Kishan out, the left-handed opener had scored 210 (off 131 deliveries).

His effort equalled that of Pakistan's Fakhar Zaman as the fifth-highest score in men's ODIs.

Rohit holds the record with 264, scored against Sri Lanka in 2014.

India finished its 50 overs against Bangladesh on 8-409, with Virat Kohli scoring 113 from 91 deliveries.

The score was the 17th highest in men's ODI history, with England's 4-498 against the Netherlands in June this year at the top of the list.

Kishan was dismissed in the 36th over of India's innings. He and Kohli put on 290 runs for the second wicket.

Bangladesh sealed victory in the three-match series after beating India by five runs in the second ODI in Mirpur earlier this week.

The hosts won the series opener by one wicket.

Bangladesh and India will play each in two Tests, with the first match beginning on Wednesday in Chattogram.
