Fierce rivals India and Pakistan could be about to play their first Test match in 15 years with talks taking place about the series being held at a neutral ground in Australia.
The rivals met in the T20 World Cup earlier this month when over 90,000 fans packed into the MCG in Australia - with India winning their dramatic super-12 match by four wickets. The pair could also meet again in the T20 World Cup final, if both qualify.
The success of having the rivals meet has sparked talks of a first Test match since 2007, when India won a three-match series on their home turf 1-0.
Former cricketer Simon O'Donnell told SEN Radio that conversations were happening about hosting a Test match between India and Pakistan in the country, while also staging a triangular One-Day competition with host nation Australia.
"That (World Cup match) was extraordinary," O'Donnell said. "It was magnificent sort of stuff, to the level that I can say there will be discussions being had, or there are discussions being had to play a Test match here.
"There's also the possibility of a triangular One-Day series between India, Pakistan and Australia or a Test match between India and Pakistan.
"My word there are conversations happening in the wake of this (T20 World Cup game). There are already discussions taking place."
When the sides met earlier this month Pakistan set a target of 159-8 at the MCG with Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed both hitting half centuries.
However, India were led by Virat Kohli hitting an unbeaten 82 from 53 balls, to help his country to victory by four wickets with the winning runs coming from the final ball.
It is a hugely intense rivalry - one which is viewed by many as the greatest match-up in the sport - with contests few and far between.
