Inderpal Singh takes charge as new Chief Engineer of PSPCL

LUDHIANA: Engineer Inderpal Singh on Monday took charge as the new Chief Engineer of Central Zone, Ludhiana of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).

Singh who has replaced Er SR Vashishat, had last served as Chief Engineer, South Patiala.

After taking charge Er Inderpal Singh conducted a meeting with Superintending Engineers (SE), Executive Engineers (XEN) and other staff of the Central Zone Ludhiana and he sought their support in achieving the target set for PSPCL by the state government.

Speaking on the occasion he said that he will live up to the expectations of the seniors and he also assured to provide uninterrupted power supply to the consumers, especially in this paddy season. "Punjab Government is aiming to boost industrial development in the state and as Ludhiana is known to be the industrial hub of the northern India, i will make after to cater the needs of industrial consumers", added Singh.

Meanwhile, chief engineer on Monday also directed the officials to keep a check on the power thefts and appealed to residents to help PSPCL in putting an end to the menace of power theft.

Born on July 22, 1967 in Amritsar, Singh completed pre-engineering from Khalsa College in Amritsar and Electrical Engineering (Hons.) from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana. Joined Punjab State Electricity Board in 1991 as an AE, Singh has rich experience of over 32 years in different wings of PSPCL, especially in operations and enforcement. While serving as Deputy Chief Engineer at Kapurthala Circle, Singh had ensured 24 hours uninterrupted power supply while observing 550 birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Apart from being an engineer by profession, Singh is also a theatre artist and a social worker.
