A UK provider of pensions trusteeship and governance services has opened a new office in Bristol.
The Independent Governance Group (IGG) is expanding into Bristol, Wales and the wider West Country. With new premises located on the quayside in central Bristol, IGG's arrival in the South West city reflects its growth since its creation in February 2023.
Stuart Travers will join the Bristol office as part of the launch and joins IGG as trustee director. Mr Travers is a fully accredited professional trustee with over 30 years of experience in pensions and employee benefits.
Mr Travers will be supported by a further seven IGG colleagues, including new starter Vanessa Roberts, as well as trustee directors Amanda Asante and Amanda Osborne. The new office will offer new and and existing clients risk transfer, professional corporate sole trusteeship, funding solutions, scheme governance, and employee communications.

Mr Travers said: “It’s a really exciting time for me to be joining the IGG team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the best professionals in the business and to be part of IGG’s presence in one of Britain’s core financial services hubs.
“IGG has a market-leading proposition and will be a welcome addition to Bristol’s existing business and pensions network. There’s exceptional opportunity for growth, and the region has a significant pool of home-grown talent which is recognised nationally for its creativity and innovation.”
Andrew Bradshaw, chief executive of IGG, added: “The founding vision behind IGG is to be the provider of choice for colleagues, trustees, scheme sponsors, and the advisory community. We are committed to regional growth as part of that vision and to playing an active role in pensions communities across the UK. I am really proud of the team’s hard work and dedication which has brought this vision to life, and I look forward to our Bristol business playing a key role in our ongoing expansion as well as additional hubs that we plan to launch.”
