Pune: Riding on Tom Latham's 86 runs knock and Mitchell Santner's 7 wicket haul, New Zealand took 301 runs lead against India on Day two in the second Test match being played in Pune.
At stumps, Glenn Phillips (9*) & Tom Blundell (30*) were at the crease while New Zealand reached 198/5 in 53 overs.

Earlier in the day, home side was bundled out for 156 runs in their first innings, giving the Tom Latham-led side a crucial first-innings lead of 103 runs. For New Zealand, Santner took 7 wickets while Glenn Phillips took 2 wickets.
In their first innings, New Zealand scored 256 runs.
