Tyler Adams has praised Leeds United supporters after the disappointing 2-2 draw against Southampton. The American experienced his first taste of the Whites’ famous away following since arriving from RB Leipzig.
A sold-out away end at St Mary’s held contained Leeds fans, the majority of whom made a 480-mile round trip amid serious travel disruption to watch Jesse Marsch’s men. Their loyalty was almost rewarded with the perfect afternoon as a Rodrigo double fired the Whites into a two-goal lead.
However, disaster struck in the final 20 minutes as goals from Joe Aribo and Kyle Walker-Peters pegged the Saints back. Adams admitted Leeds did enough to win the game while hailing the travelling contingent for their support.

On Twitter, he wrote: “(I) felt we should’ve taken three points. Away fans (were) incredible. Onto the next one.”
Supporters shared the 23-year-old’s optimism on social media. Adams has impressed in his first two games in the engine room as Leeds get on with life after Kalvin Phillips.
