Incident Of Fan Whipping Player Mars Saudi Super Cup Final

Al-Ittihad striker 'whipped' by fan after Saudi Super Cup final loss

After Al-Ittihad's loss to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup Final, a fan was seen apparently whipping Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah following an altercation where water was thrown. The incident occurred post the trophy presentation to both teams. The match took place at Abu Dhabi's Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium on April 11, with Al-Hilal entering the game on a remarkable 34-game winning streak, while Al-Ittihad was positioned fourth in the Saudi Pro League standings.

The scoring commenced early in the game, with Malcolm netting for Al-Hilal within the first five minutes. Hamdallah managed to equalize for Al-Ittihad 20 minutes later. However, Al-Hilal regained the lead just before halftime through Salem Aldawsari. Despite Al-Ittihad's efforts to stay competitive, Al-Hilal secured the victory with late goals from Malcolm and Nasser Aldawsari, resulting in a 4-1 win and Al-Hilal's fourth Saudi Super Cup title.

Following the final whistle, a video circulating on social media captured an incident between Hamdallah and a fan. In the footage, Hamdallah appeared to splash water towards the fan, who then brandished a whip and began striking Hamdallah before being separated from him. This post-match altercation sparked controversy online.

Al-Hilal's Saudi Super Cup semi-final also faced controversy when Al-Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo refrained from striking the referee after receiving a red card in a 2-1 defeat for his team.
