In shocking turn of events, Mac Jones’s awkward Griddy is somehow worse than teammate Mike Gesicki’s

Justin Jefferson is probably somewhere disgusted watching Mac Jones do The Griddy.

To be very clear, not much has been going right for the New England Patriots. Quarterback Mac Jones has been playing awfully; the defense is banged up, and Bill Belichick’s questionable decision-making in a post-Tom Brady life is returning to haunt him. (It only took four seasons, but who’s counting?)

That all went out the window on Sunday.

The Patriots won a last-second thriller over the Buffalo Bills, ending with a Mike Gesicki touchdown. Despite claiming he was done with his comically bad version of Jefferson’s Griddy in 2022, the tight end shamelessly unleashed it again after he scored.

But, as bad as it was to see Gesicki twist his body like that, his quarterback might have one-upped him for the worst Griddy I have ever seen.

Seriously, Mac. What is this?

Nearby TV Cameras caught Jones awkwardly flailing his legs — not even remotely close to doing The Griddy — as Gesicki danced off the field. At this point, this is so bad I’m going to assume that Jones is obviously in on the joke.

In that case, Mac Jones, I owe you an apology. I wasn’t familiar with your game.
