Arsenal have finally confirmed the signing of Declan Rice on a five-year contract.
The England international joins the Gunners in a deal that could rise as high as £105m and sets a new record for a British transfer.
Rice had also attracted interest from Manchester City but has arrived as the centrepiece to what has been an aggressive summer recruitment drive from the club.
Both Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber have already been signed as Mikel Arteta looks to challenge for the Premier League title once again.
Rice will wear the No.41 shirt in north London and has vowed to give his “best years” to the club, aiming to take them back into the “big time” and could make his debut this coming week during the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
The former West Ham captain also penned an emotional letter to his former club’s supporters prior to the Gunners confirming what has been a protracted saga.
