An "Impeach Trump" billboard outside Mar-a-Lago in Florida has drawn mixed reactions on social media.

The bright orange billboard, funded by Free Speech for People as part of its Impeach Trump Again campaign, directs viewers to a website where they can sign a petition urging Congress to launch "an immediate impeachment investigation" into President Donald Trump.

"The Constitution has a remedy for a corrupt, lawless president: impeachment," says John Bonifaz, President of Free Speech For People, told Common Dreams. "Donald Trump has already committed multiple abuses of power since assuming the Oval Office again, and he must be held accountable."

More than 300,000 Americans have already signed the petition, which outlines Trump's multiple abuses of power since reclaiming the presidency in January. They include planning the forced removal of Palestinians in Gaza, depriving citizens of their birthright citizenship, corruptly dismissing criminal charges against Eric Adams and abusing the power pardon.

As news of the billboard made its way to Reddit, users shared mixed reactions. While some commended the agency for taking a stand against the president in his own backyard, others called it a waste of time and money.

"What's the point?" Reddit user Consistent_Pitch782 commented. "MAGA controls the House and Senate. Even if they get articles of impeachment thru the House (they won't), the Senate won't convict him. There is zero chance it happens until 2027 at earliest, and that's assuming Democrats take either chamber of Congress .... Or that we are allowed to have elections in 2026."

Others argued that the impeachment process could be a welcome distraction as it will "limit the destruction" this administration can cause.

"He won't be convicted but all his energy and the focus of his goons will be on the impeachment."
