Jurgen Klopp believes the football calendar makes it virtually impossible to execute an idea from Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to host an 'All Star' game.
The American suggested this week that an exhibition fixture featuring the best players in the Premier League could be held at some point in the same way some sports across the Atlantic currently do in an effort to raise funds across English football.
“People are talking about why don’t we have more money for the pyramid? MLB did their all-star game this year," Boehly is quoted as saying. "They made $200million from a Monday and a Tuesday, you could do a North versus South all-star game from the Premier League to fund the pyramid very easily."

Klopp, though, thinks the idea is a non-starter based on the sheer volume of fixtures club teams have to undertake during regular seasons.
"He doesn't hesitate, huh?" Klopp said when asked about the proposal. "He doesn't wait long! When he finds a date for that he can call me!
"Maybe he forgets that these big squads in America, these guys have four-month breaks. They are quite happy that they can do a little bit of sport during these breaks, it's completely different for football.
"What can I say? Does he want to bring the Harlem Globetrotters in as well and have them play against a football team? I am surprised by the question, so don't judge my answer too much but maybe he can explain it to me at some point and find a proper date.
"I am not sure people want to see that but imagine it; Manchester United players, Liverpool players, Everton players all together for one team and it's not a national team, just a north-west team together.
"OK, north and south...an interesting game. Arsenal, Tottenham together. Did he really say it? Interesting."
